The Holidays have begun :)

We had and absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving this week! My uncle Todd and cousins Madison and Parker came down from Seattle area... It was so great to have some of my family here this year! So with the help of Kriston I made 3 yummy pumpkin rolls (with no mixer other than our arms I might add), green bean casserole, and deviled eggs. :) We all went to Brian's parents house for Turkey dinner and had a great time of fellowship and playing balderdash.

This was my first year to shop and also to work in the mall on a Black Friday! One word....Insane! At least I didn't have to work the morning shift which I am so thankful for! We found out that Wal-mart had Rockband on sale for $50 so the AMAZING Kriston went at 3 AM and waited in line til 5AM and got it!!! Oh and surprised me with a Red hand mixer which was also on sale for $4!! No more stirring for ten minutes with old fashioned elbow grease!!

Anyhoo..... The Holidays are finally here :) Everyone bust out the Christmas music and baked goodies and have a wonderful Holiday season this year!!! As the Taylor Swift Christmas song goes...

"You'd say that today holds something special
Something holy and not superficial
So here's to the birthday boy who saved our lives
It's something we all try to ignore
And put a wreath up on your door
So here's something you should know that is for sure
Christmas must be something more"

Pumpkin Carving!

So the other day we (Me, Bri,Caleb, Kriston, and Beth) got to go to the pumpkin patch... Lone Pine Farms... It was tons of fun, except for the part where the tractor and hayrack ride left us in the field...We had to walk back with our 100 lbs worth of pumpkins!!!

Making our own caramel apple cider was AMAZING!! I think we've pretty much mastered Starbucks version...

Kriston got to carve her first pumpkin!! Can you believe it?? 22 and she had never carved a pumpkin before!! SAD.... So on her pumpkin she carved...Satan Sucks... Which I said was an "under attack"statement and she should have said...Satan is Stupid...because he is enough said!

I didn't carve my pumpkin this year...instead I cut it all up, boiled it and have made 2 pumpkin rolls and froze the rest to make pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving and Kriston and I are going to make Pumpkin Streusel Cheesecake!!!! Yumm
